Tottenham Hotspur have a superb teenage right-back and they could be bringing in one of the best young left-backs in the country.

As reported by HITC earlier this week, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Fulham player Ryan Sessegnon.

He may only be 16, but the left-back-cum-winger has already featured eight times for the Championship side this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process.

With that kind of form it is no surprise Tottenham are keen, but Mauricio Pochettino’s interest also shows just how much importance he puts on quality at the full-back.

While Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are currently the undisputed first-choice players in those positions, there are strong reinforcements in the form of Kieran Tripper and Ben Davies, while Sessegnon’s potential arrival would hint at an exciting future where he and 19-year-old Kyle Walker-Peters are turning out on opposite sides of the pitch.

Such is the strength in depth at White Hart Lane right now that any move for Sessegnon is likely to include a loan-back option, allowing the teenager to continue his development with regular first-team football.

But if he does agree a deal with Tottenham, in time it should be Sessegnon and the highly-rated Kyle Walker-Peters doing for the club what Rose and Walker are doing now, and that is a tantalising prospect for Spurs fans.
