Tim Sherwood has raved about the ‘very underrated’ Heung-Min Son and claimed that the Tottenham man ‘could play for Liverpool’, as he told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports (12/09/20 at 1:50 pm)
The former Spurs boss questioned why a player like Son isn’t linked with moves away from the club and believes he could play for the ‘top teams’ across the world, including Liverpool.
Son moved to North London in 2015 when he arrived from Germany’s top-tier as an unknown figure, and after taking time to settle, he is now a firm fan favourite and one of the best players in the league.
But Sherwood was baffled as to why Son doesn’t seemingly get the same transfer attention as his Spurs teammate, Harry Kane.
“Son, I think is a very underrated player,” Sherwood told Sky Sports. “I know we all like him. For the life of me, I don’t know why he’s not linked to many teams.
“When you talk about Harry Kane getting linked, left, right and centre. I think Son could play for Liverpool. He can play for top teams in the Premier League and all over the world.”

The biggest compliment that could be paid to Son is that he has delivered and stepped up at crucial times, such as when Kane has been injured – and that’s happened a fair few times.
Spurs don’t miss their star man because of Son and his ability to score crucial goals and lead from the front.
Son’s ability to play across the front three, his non-stop work rate, his ability to shoot with either foot, the intelligence he has in attacking spaces and then scoring all types of goals are just some of the things that make him one of the best Premier League players going.
