Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly decided that they are willing to listen to offers for Victor Wanyama.

With Mauricio Pochettino seemingly willing to let the pair leave in the coming months, it would appear that Tottenham are soon hoping to complete a major overhaul of their midfield options.
But after such an underwhelming summer, fans would be forgiven for fearing whether that will go to plan.
To replace Wanyama and Dembele will be an incredibly tough task, and Pochettino may have to make the most of the options already at the club while they adjust to life without the pair.

So could Wanyama moving on prove to provide the opportunity that Oliver Skipp needs as he awaits his chance in the Spurs first-team?
There is a lot of buzz around Skipp and it appears to be a matter of time before the 17-year-old gets the chance to make his debut for Pochettino’s men with the youngster making the bench for the games against Barcelona and Cardiff City before the international break.

Skipp is a versatile midfielder who seems to be comfortable playing in either a holding or attacking role in the middle of the park. But with Dembele seemingly on his way and question marks now lingering over Wanyama’s situation, perhaps his future lies in a slightly deeper role.
Letting Dembele and Wanyama both go within a short space of time would appear to be a major gamble, especially if Pochettino intends to promote a 17-year-old after their departures. But the promise that Skipp is showing just hints that he may not be as far away from being ready as some may expect.
