Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge is believed to be on Newcastle United’s summer wishlist.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Newcastle United’s proposed takeover bid could enhance their transfer funds.
If the Chinese consortium do buy a stake in Newcastle from Mike Ashley, then Newcastle should reportedly have more money to spend this summer.
And that could put Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge on to their radar.

Newcastle have reportedly been offered Sturridge by Liverpool (Chronicle), who are considering offloading the England international.
At the moment, Sturridge looks out of Newcastle’s price range. The forward’s wage demands, combined with his transfer fee, would make him very expensive.

However, with adding funding, Newcastle may well be able to consider moving for the 27-year-old.
And if the Magpies were able to sign Sturridge this summer it would send out a signal of intent to the Premier League about their ambitions.
