Janzuaj’s career has stalled in recent times, after he initially showed a great deal of promise.
The Belgian has spent this season on loan at Sunderland, where he has failed to impress.
Januzaj was expected to add creativity to Sunderland’s forward line this term, but he has failed to make an impact.
The 22-year-old has been cheered off in recent matches, but David Moyes’ tactics have not exactly favoured him.
Januzaj has been asked to play fairly deep, to fit in with Sunderland’s defensive strategy, and he hasn’t been able to make much of an impact.
However, despite his recent struggles, Januzaj remains an impressive talent.
Although the winger is in danger of not fulfilling his potential, a move to Newcastle could bring the best out of him.
The Magpies are likely to show far more attacking ambition in the Premier League than Sunderland have this season, and that could help Januzaj re-find his confidence.
And, if Rafael Benitez could coax the best out of the skilful winger, then Januzaj’s arrival at St. James’ Park would unquestionably be an exciting one for all Newcastle fans.
