Is Moussa Sissoko Tottenham Hotspur’s best player this season?

Several Tottenham Hotspur players are having stand-out seasons and there’s a few strong candidates to win the club’s Player of the Year award come May.
Striker Harry Kane has already exceeded the 20-goal mark, despite missing two months of the campaign through injury.
Son Heung-min was Tottenham’s go-to-guy for goals during Kane’s absence, and inspired the 3-0 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund last month.
But Spurs’ Player of the Year award could well go to someone who nobody would’ve believed back in August: Moussa Sissoko.
The French midfielder has been nothing short of outstanding for Mauricio Pochettino this season. It has taken a while, but Sissoko, a £30 million signing in 2016, is finally a key player for the North Londoners.
As good as Son has been in recent months, he didn’t open his account this season until a League Cup win over West Ham on October 31. In other words, he hasn’t been as consistent as Sissoko, who has maintained a high standard for virtually the entire campaign.
In addition to that, his attitude has been exemplary. This is a player who was linked with a loan move to Trabzonspor not too long ago [ESPN].
There were times when he must have felt a million miles away from being an important player, let alone an actual fan favourite, but now he is and Sissoko deserves to have his improvement acknowledged in the form of an individual honour.
