The Leeds United loanees have rarely featured, but with nothing left to play for will Garry Monk give them some minutes?

Leeds United manager Garry Monk has pulled off some impressive transfer deals in his first season at the helm, but he has also completed some very questionable moves.
At first glance, the loan deal that brought Mo Barrow to Elland Road looked smart, but on reflection it could go down as one of the most baffling in the club’s history given his lack of chances.
As for Matt Grimes, the midfielder also signed a temporary deal from Monk’s former club Swansea City yet quickly fell out of favour and has not been seen in a match day squad for months.
All the time Leeds were fighting for a play-off spot, the prospect of either player appearing looked slim. However now those hopes are over for another year, could one or both get a final chance to show what they are capable of?
Only time will tell what Monk has planned for the upcoming clash with Wigan Athletic that was supposed to be a celebration of the club’s progress but is a grim reminder of another wasted opportunity.

Of the two, Barrow may be more likely to feature at some point given just how far Grimes has slipped down the pecking order, yet in truth it would be a surprise to see either get any minutes against the Latics.
Their moves were supposed to reignite their careers and aid Leeds in their promotion push. But despite Monk seemingly knowing both well from his time at the Liberty Stadium, you have to ask why he brought them only to overlook them time and again.
