Tottenham Hotspur could be about to lose Kyle Walker in the summer transfer window.

Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to blood Kyle Walker-Peters in Tottenham Hotspur’s first-team this season, could end up saving the North London side a considerable amount of money this summer.
With rumours that Kyle Walker could leave Spurs picking up pace (Independent), there is a feeling that Tottenham may have to go out and sign a right-back to replace the England international.
Although Kieran Trippier is like to take Walker’s place in Tottenham first-team, if he does leave, Pochettino’s other options at right-back are limited in his current squad.

However, the Argentine may just have been preparing for every eventuality when he called up Walker-Peters to Spurs’ first-team training last season.
The academy graduate has now been integrating with the senior squad for almost a year, and his development is likely to have been well served by this action.

Walker-Peters could now be in a line for a promotion to become Tottenham’s reserve right-back for next season, which stops them having to go out and make a purchase – and Pochettino’s faith in youth could once again be about to prove its worth at White Hart Lane.
