The Liverpool winger has been linked with a loan move to Hull City.

According to a report from the BBC, Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic could be on his way to Hull City this month with the two sides in talks.

The Serbia international is currently enjoying a temporary stint at Sporting Lisbon, but it is now being suggested that deal could end and the wide man could turn out for the Tigers for the rest of the campaign.

It would be an interesting move for all concerned, and it could allow Markovic to prove he does have a future in the Premier League after all.

When Liverpool first signed him from Benfica it was hailed as a masterstroke, with the great and the good of the game seemingly lining up to bring him in.

That came after a great season in Portugal in which he helped Benfica to the league title, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in the process. But after moving to Anfield the then-teenager struggled to make any significant impact.

Loan moves followed and it seemed he may have played his last match for Liverpool.

However, if he heads to Hull and does well on loan it could yet force a rethink from Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.

Still only 22, Markovic has most of his career ahead of him and if he plays week in, week out for Hull he could yet be the Premier League star he was tipped to become when he first arrived.
