Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Hong Kong later this month and it would be the perfect chance to give the teenager a start.

According to a report from the Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur will head to Hong Kong for a friendly match at the end of the current campaign, so what chance boy-wonder Marcus Edwards getting an opportunity to prove his worth ahead of the summer break.
With Tottenham fighting hard for the Premier League trophy, their manager Mauricio Pochettino has rightly opted not to give the club’s fringe players their breakthrough just yet, and despite the disappointment of losing to West Ham United last time out, there is still an outside chance Chelsea will slip up in their remaining matches.
With that being the case, expect Tottenham to keep fielding their strongest available side until it is mathematically impossible to catch Antonio Conte’s men.
Edwards may get a runout in the final match of the campaign against Hull City, but at this stage it seems more likely the 18-year-old will have to wait until the trip to Hong Kong, where a good performance would stand him in good stead ahead of a new pre-season.

Edwards is widely regarded as the jewel in the crown of Tottenham’s academy but thus far he has only managed a 15-minute cameo against Gillingham in the EFL Cup.
Now back from injury and playing for Spurs’ under-23 side, he will be hoping to make a significant breakthrough in 2018, and a good performance if included for the upcoming friendly would be the perfect start.
