Should Tottenham fear Manchester United returning for Eric Dier, as fallout from their move for Everton’s Romelu Lukaku?
Manchester United made their move to try and sign Romelu Lukaku yesterday, with BBC Sport reporting they were closing on a £75 million deal for the Everton striker.
The move would infuriate Chelsea, who The Guardian report could still make an effort to hijack the move.
If United complete the move, it would place a strain on their attempts to convince Chelsea to let them sign Nemanja Matic.

The Telegraph reported in late June that United were hopeful of a deal, but the trail has gone cold and the Red Devils’ efforts will not be helped by snaring Chelsea’s number one transfer target away from them.
They would be forced to look at alternatives, and the first name on their list this summer was Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier.
The Telegraph reported Spurs had quoted them a fee of £50 million, which saw them eventually turn to Matic.

Dealing with Tottenham may be just as tough as Chelsea, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy might well find himself put under renewed pressure form United.
Alternative options include Monaco’s Fabinho and Borussia Dortmund star Julian Weigl.
They may be easier deals to pursue than chasing Matic and Dier, but having thought a fortnight ago that they had seen the last of United as they closed on the Chelsea midfielder, Spurs may not be out the woods yet.
