Jack Clarke is being linked with a move away from Leeds United.

It’s a worrying time for Leeds United.
Not only is there uncertainty surrounding Marcelo Bielsa’s future as United boss, but a number of high-profile players are also linked away.
This week has seen speculation about Kalvin Phillips potentially joining Bournemouth, while Jack Clarke has also made headlines for reportedly interesting Tottenham Hotspur [The Yorkshire Evening Post].
Clarke, who is only 18, is particularly well thought of after a stunning breakthrough season with Leeds’ first team last term under Bielsa.
Losing him would be a major blow, but could they already have his replacement in the form of Mallik Wilks?
The 20-year-old is returning to Thorp Arch this summer after a fine spell on loan in League One with Doncaster, netting 16 goals and setting up 10 across all competitions.
These are impressive numbers for a striker, but Wilks is a winger and his stint at the Keepmoat Stadium has certainly reminded Leeds fans how exciting of a prospect he is.
Granted, he is two years older than Clarke, but this is a hungry player with a point to prove and he could break into the Whites’ first team next season as well as the teenager did last year.
If Bielsa is still at Leeds come August, Wilks could have a blinding season. The Argentine is one of the best man-managers around and his coaching has undoubtedly helped quite a few United stars improve.
Fans of the Elland Road club will no doubt mourn Clarke if he does move on, but as one door shuts, another opens and it might just be Wilks’s time.
