Tottenham are looking into the possibility of signing Lucas Moura – and he could be exactly what they need.

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a swoop for Paris Saint-Germain’s Lucas Moura in the final days of the transfer window, according to the Telegraph.
It seems £22million will be enough to secure the signature of the Brazilian as PSG look to get fringe men off the wage bill following the big-money acquisitions of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
And Lucas could well prove to be exactly what Spurs have been missing as they have fallen short of lifting silverware in recent seasons.

Tottenham have Christian Eriksen to pick passes through the tightest of defences, while their defence is strong and, in Harry Kane, they boast one of Europe’s finest centre forwards.
But Spurs are heavily dependent on the speed of Heung-min Son on the counter-attack, with the absence of Kyle Walker’s pace keenly felt.
It could well be that Lucas is the breakaway star that Tottenham thought they were signing in Moussa Sissoko back in 2016.
Sissoko had impressed for France at the European Championships as he burst forward from the midfield, but his performances in London have merely echoed the inconsistent displays seen at Newcastle United.

Although the French international is at his best when running into space, Spurs’ reliance on him could decrease further with the arrival of Lucas.
Lucas is a far better technical player than Sissoko, yet boasts the same speed.
This would represent an upgrade for Tottenham and a crucial one at that as they look to add a different dimension to their game.
