Liverpool are on the verge of signing Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson from Roma.

The Guardian report a £67 million fee has been agreed with Roma and the player will undertake a medical with Liverpool on Saturday.

Roma becoming flush with cash from selling Alisson could turn out to be bad news for Liverpool’s rivals Everton.

L’Equipe reported this week that Everton are in advanced talks to sign Brazilian winger Malcom.

SkySports reported the Toffees were discussing a £30 million move with Bordeaux.

Now Gianluca Di Marzio reports Roma are set to step up their pursuit of Malcom, aided by funds from Alisson’s imminent sale.

Roma are also keen to sign former Liverpool winger Suso from AC Milan.

Italian website Premium Sport reported at the weekend that Roma will sign PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola as a replacement for Alisson, a deal which would allow plenty of leftover funds to sign either Suso or Malcom.

If Roma end up costing Everton their move for Malcom, it will be down to Liverpool.
