According to the Daily Mail, Norwich City are moving away from Leeds United manager Garry Monk and are stepping up their chase for Uwe Rosler, as they look to appoint Alex Neil’s successor.
Norwich are hoping to appoint a new manager who can deliver them more success next term, after a disappointing campaign this time around.
The Canaries went into the season as one of the promotion favourites, but failed to claim a top six spot – which cost Neil his job.
Initially, it was suggested that Norwich would make a move for Monk.
Monk’s future at Leeds is currently uncertain, as the 38-year-old has still not been presented with a new deal.
But Norwich’s move for Rosler could hint that Monk’s future is edging closer to be sorted.
Monk has always insisted that he wants to stay at Leeds, and The Sun claim that he is in line to earn a five-year deal.
Norwich now appear to be giving up on Monk, and that can only be good news for Leeds – as they look to end any uncertainly over their popular manager’s future.
