Leeds United have been linked with the Lugano player but he is said to be a wanted man.
According to a recent report from Correire dello Ticino, Leeds United are interested in signing Macedonia international Ezgjan Alioski this summer. The problem is, his agent told West Yorkshire Sport that a number of clubs are interested in the Lugano player, meaning a move to the Whites is far from guaranteed.
But could Leeds seize the advantage by securing the signings of other top players over the next few weeks, potentially turning Alioski’s head in the process?
After all, the 25-year-old will know his next move could be the most important of his career, fresh off the back of a season in which he scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists for Lugano, and he will not want to join a club that does not match his ambition.
With Leeds already securing the signing of Mateusz Klich and – according to a report from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo – closing in on exciting Spanish forward Samu Saiz, their new manager Thomas Christiansen is wasting no time strengthening ahead of the new campaign.
Alioski could be the best signing of the lot, and while Leeds may not currently be a top flight club, the Macedonian could be swayed by the ambition shown by the club’s new sole owner Andrea Radrizzani.
Such is the progress at Leeds this summer that Alioski would not be the sole star name arriving.
Instead he could be one of many and that in itself could be all the persuasion he needs to reject the advances of the other clubs interested in his services.
