Leeds United are one of the sides reportedly interested in signing Ryan Nolan this summer.

While many Leeds fans are desperate to see the club make one final attempt to land a marquee signing during the final days of the transfer window, the Whites appear to have their eye on strengthening their already-impressive youth ranks.
Trivenetogoal has reported this week that Leeds are one of the teams keen on signing Ryan Nolan from Inter Milan, with Brighton and Hove Albion also interested in the 20-year-old.
It is probably not the kind of rumour that will capture the imagination of the Elland Road faithful, but the defender appears to have a lot of potential, and it says a lot that he is on Inter’s books and attracting attention from clubs in the Premier League and Championship.
And given that it may evokes memories of what looks set to be looked back upon as one of the club’s most inspired moves of 2019, it is a rumour that the Leeds supporters can perhaps allow themselves to get a little excited about.

It was reported by Przeglad Sportowy in December that the same two clubs were battling it out for Mateusz Bogusz, a 17-year-old attacking midfielder who was playing regularly for Ruch Chorzow’s first-team in Poland.
Of course, it would be Leeds who would win the race. And while he is yet to make his competitive debut for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, the move already looks to have the makings of a masterstroke with Bogusz catching the eye on a number of occasions in pre-season.

Bogusz looks destined to be in the first-team fold during the coming season. And Leeds will be hoping that Nolan could follow in his footsteps should they manage to see off the Seagulls’ challenge for his signature this summer.
Leeds have uncovered a number of gems for their youth ranks in recent years. Perhaps Nolan could become the latest if he decides to make the move Bogusz did when the same two clubs calling in January.
