Monday’s trip to Brentford is now the Whites’ biggest game of the season and should Bielsa pair Kemar Roofe up front with Patrick Bamford?
Bamford scored Leeds’ opener today but United’s attack was rather uninspired, despite facing 10 men for over 70 minutes.
Wigan looked like a side that had worked out Leeds and Bielsa would throw a curveball by pairing Roofe and Bamford in a two-pronged attack.
Brentford wouldn’t be expecting it at all and with so much at stake, perhaps a fresher approach could benefit Bielsa’s side.
Bamford, a £7 million signing last summer [Daily Mail], has 10 goals in 14 starts this season, while £3 million hitman Roofe [Yorkshire Post] has 14. Individually they’re both fantastic goalscorers and maybe, just maybe, it’s time to see what they could do in a partnership.
There hasn’t been many opportunities to play both up front this season, but Monday might be ideal.
