Leeds United are one of a number of teams interested in West Ham United striker Ashley Fletcher.
With The Sun suggesting that four teams are keen on taking Ashley Fletcher on loan this summer, Leeds – who are joined by Middlesbrough, Wolves and Reading in the running – may need any advantage they can get if they hope to sign the West Ham striker.
So perhaps Thomas Christiansen may be hoping that a couple of former Whites stars will help them out if Fletcher seeks advice on what deal is best for him.

Fletcher plays alongside Sam Byram and Robert Snodgrass at the London Stadium – both of whom enjoyed excellent spells with Leeds earlier in their careers.
While the Yorkshire side failed to challenge for promotion to the Premier League during the pair’s respective spells at Elland Road – though they did come seventh in the Championship during a season where Snodgrass featured prominently – the pair may well have positive recollections from their spells having both been incredibly influential at certain stages, and thus, generally extremely popular with the fans.
That popularity may help them suggest that moving to Leeds would be good for Fletcher if he approaches them to find out more about the club if a chance to make a loan move does present itself in the coming weeks.
And if Fletcher does have several offers on the table and is struggling to decide where his immediate future lies, then perhaps anything he may have heard about Leeds from the likes of Byram and Snodgrass may play a small part in helping him make a decision.
