Leeds United youngster Jordan Stevens is impressing for the Whites’ under-23 side at the moment.

With the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting when Jordan Stevens joined Leeds during the January transfer window that the Whites had seen off Premier League competition to land the winger’s signature, it has always seemed to be a safe bet to predict that the youngster would force his way into the first-team plans at Elland Road sooner rather than later.
Stevens is still awaiting his senior debut for Leeds, but continues to impress for Carlos Corberan’s under-23 side. And while Jack Clarke is the wide-man who everyone has seriously high hopes for, Stevens’ recent form suggests that he may not be too far behind Clarke when it comes to pushing for that chance in the first-team.
The former Forest Green Rovers man was superb during the Whites’ under-23 side’s recent 5-0 victory over Bristol City at Elland Road, scoring one and providing several moments of real quality to help the home side unlock the Robins on numerous occasions.
He followed that up with another bright performance in the 2-2 draw with a strong Sheffield Wednesday side on Monday. With Pablo Hernandez sidelined with injury for the next few weeks, it is a fantastic time for the 18-year-old to make an impact.

Clarke will surely be the next winger to get their chance in the first-team. He was included on the bench for the 1-1 draw with Millwall at the weekend and scored another goal in the under-23 draw with the Owls. He can do little more to make Bielsa sit up and take notice.
But with injuries stretching Leeds’ options in the front four considerably, Stevens’ run of form is perfectly timed and surely gives him a brilliant chance of making his first-team debut before too long.
