Could Paul Heckingbottom give Ryan Edmondson a surprise debut in Leeds United’s end-of-season visit of QPR next week?

Leeds United boss Paul Heckingbottom angered fans on Saturday by taking Ryan Edmondson to Norwich City and not including him in the squad.
Heckingbottom said that he wanted to give the 16-year-old the experience of travelling with Leeds’ senior players to a competitive game.
The Whites only have one game left this season – the visit of QPR next week – but could the United head coach give Edmondson a surprise debut then?
The 16-year-old is making quite a name for himself in the Under-18 side and he is surely a lot closer than many of his team-mates to making his senior debut.

Interestingly, Heckingbottom took Paudie O’Connor to London for the defeat to Fulham earlier this month and did not name him in the squad, but the Irishman made his first-team debut a week later.
Injury forced Heckingbottom’s hand somewhat in regards to O’Connor, but bringing him to Fulham indicated that he was in his plans nonetheless and the same might apply to Edmondson.
The fact that Leeds only have one game left and nothing to play for means a surprise debut for Edmondson shouldn’t be ruled out.
