Leeds United striker Lee Erwin has scored four goals in his last seven games while on loan at Oldham Athletic.

Lee Erwin’s dramatic turn around at Oldham Athletic, may mean that his Leeds United career is not finished yet.

Erwin joined Leeds in January last year, but he struggled to make an impact in his initial months at Elland Road.

Soon after taking over, Garry Monk sent the striker out on loan at Oldham – and the 23-year-old found things difficult with the Latics at first.

Erwin hit just two goals in his first 21 appearances for Oldham, with many fans of the League One side writing him off.

However, since Oldham have changed managers and brought in John Sheridan, Erwin has enjoyed a remarkable turnaround.

Erwin now has four goals in his last seven matches, and Oldham fans have been raving about his recent form.

Although Erwin is unlikely to come back to Leeds and become a regular starter, his confidence will be up and his loan spell is likely to have improved him as a player.

And with Leeds on the look out for a new front man to provide competition for Chris Wood, Monk will surely have to have another look at Erwin in pre-season.
