Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich.

Kingsley Coman signing permanently for Bayern Munich could be good news for Tottenham Hotspur in their chase of Douglas Costa.

Spurs have been linked with a £30 million move for Costa (The Sun), ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian is believed to be on Mauricio Pochettino’s wishlist, and Bayern could be more willing to sell him now Coman’s future has been secured.

The French winger has been in direct competition with Costa this season, with the pair both able to play in all three positions across Bayern’s front line.

Coman has made five fewer starts than Costa in the Bundesliga this season, but given his obvious potential the German giants will surely give him more game time next season – now he is their player on a permanent deal.

If Coman is to move ahead of Costa in the pecking order for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, then the Brazilian international will surely be available.

Costa is simply too good to be a bench-warmer at any club, and that could be a boost in Tottenham’s chances – as they reportedly chase the 26-year-old’s signature.
