The Glasgow Rangers youngster has been blighted by injuries and poor form.

When Rangers signed former Liverpool youngster Jordan Rossiter it seemed the Gers had got themselves a star of the future and yet, for now at least, the midfielder has struggled to make any real mark at Ibrox, in no small part due to injuries.
While the identity of the next permanent Rangers manager is unclear – despite calls for caretaker boss Graeme Murty to be given a shot – Rossiter should not let that uncertainty affect his own pursuit of regular first-team football.

Instead he should take a long hard look at Jason Holt; a player tipped for the Rangers scrapheap who appears to have turned things round in dramatic fashion.
Holt did not feature in any of Rangers’ first seven league games of the campaign, yet his performances in recent weeks speak of a resurgence that has come at the best possible time. And if the much-maligned Holt can do it, there is plenty of hope for the talented Rossiter.

The 20-year-old has years before he reaches his peak and, while it would be easy to write him off so soon, the truth is he has the raw potential to become one of the first names on the Rangers team sheet in years to come.
It would be easy to get downhearted after his early setbacks, but if Rossiter uses Holt as inspiration, the Gers could soon have two transformed midfielders on their books.
