Clarke has appeared seven times for Leeds United as a substitute?

First-team players Patrick Bamford, Izzy Brown and Jack Harrison all featured as Leeds United’s Under-23s suffered a surprise defeat at home to Barnsley on Monday.
But is the real story those – and one player in particular – who were omitted at Thorp Arch?
Even when involved at senior level, Jack Clarke has continued to be used by Carlos Corberan, the Whites’ U23s’ boss.
In fact, he has missed just one of their previous six fixtures – Newcastle United away, the evening before Clarke assisted the winning goal for Leeds at Sheffield United.

Yet despite a string of impressive cameos off the bench, the 18-year-old academy product has yet to start for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
And the question now must be: Will that change against Aston Villa on Sunday? Or was Clarke simply rested against Barnsley?
(The following Leeds fans suspect it’s the former)
Is it time for Leeds to give Clarke his first senior start?
