Leeds United are set to be boosted by an early return for Izzy Brown as he recovers from his torn ACL.

Brown could return by December, the Yorkshire Evening Post report, ahead of his earlier projected January return.

This could help Leeds in the transfer market too, bringing clarity to their squad situation.

Had it reached January with Brown poised to make his comeback, then it would have been easy for Leeds to attach their hopes to the Chelsea loanee.

The timing of Brown’s return would have been hailed as ‘like a new signing’, and led to the club adopting a wait and see approach through January.

Now he is ahead of schedule, removing an ‘excuse’ for Leeds not to spend.

This can only be positive for the Whites, allowing them to make a more informed decision on what do to in the transfer market.

If Brown comes back and does not look ready, then Leeds may have to consider adding another attacker in January.

The other side of the coin is that Brown is an instant hit, meaning Leeds could focus their funds elsewhere and strengthen in goal or in defence as a priority.

The Whites will no longer be guessing regarding what Brown can do, and his early return is perfectly timed for transfer chief Victor Orta.
