Jerzy Dudek has told Marca that Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk would be a good signing for Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Dudek believes that Liverpool star Van Dijk would improve Madrid.
While the former Liverpool and Madrid goalkeeper has said that the obvious Liverpool player in regard to Madrid is Mohamed Salah, he has pointed out that Los Blancos have Rodrygo in that position.
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has also been linked with Madrid, but it is Van Dijk who would make the European giants better, according to Dudek, who played for both the Reds and Los Blancos.
Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk perfect for Real Madrid
Dudek told Marca when asked which Liverpool player would fit in best at Madrid: “We could talk about Salah, who is obviously the main player, but Real Madrid have a great future in that position. Rodrygo is an incredible player, just like Valverde.
“If I could only choose one player, it would probably be Van Dijk, because I see that Real Madrid could improve defensively.
“They have great midfielders, wide players and forwards and a great goalkeeper, but I think they can still improve defensively.”

Unlikely transfer
While we do agree with Dudek, we do not expect Van Dijk to leave Liverpool for Madrid anytime soon.
The former Celtic central defender is happy at Liverpool at the moment, and there is no suggestion anywhere that Madrid are interested in the Netherlands international.
Liverpool are not a selling club.
The Premier League side will face Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final this weekend.
Van Dijk will play a big role for Liverpool in that game, just as he has done throughout the season.
