Some Leeds United fans on social media have been drooling over Lewis Bate after his performance for Leeds U21s on Tuesday evening.
The Whites’ youth side were playing in the EFL Trophy and they came away with a 3-2 win against Oldham Athletic.
The Yorkshire club’s first-team may be faltering at the moment, but their youth system is flourishing, with the likes of Joe Gelhardt, Crysencio Summerville and Sam Greenwood coming through.
However, it now seems as though Leeds fans think they have another gem coming through in the shape of Bate.
Bate was signed from Chelsea this summer, and it looks like he already has a number of admirers amongst the Whites fanbase.
Indeed, fans were already calling for him to get a chance in the first-team, and with Leeds’ midfield struggling so far this season, giving Bate a chance may not be the world’s worst idea.
