Glasgow Rangers midfielder Graham Dorrans has travelled with the Ibrox side for their Europa League group-stage opener.

Rangers appear to have suffered a significant setback ahead of their Europa League group-stage opener with Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Jack both not travelling to Spain with the squad.
STV reports that the Gers pair have stayed behind due to injury. It is a blow for Steven Gerrard’s men given that both players have been important parts of his plans this term. Jack, in particular, has enjoyed a sensational start to the campaign.
But while it is not ideal for Rangers, not having Ejaria and Jack in the ranks for their clash with Villarreal could perhaps present a massive opportunity for Graham Dorrans, who has travelled with the squad.
Dorrans is yet to play for the Gers this season, but is seemingly in contention for Thursday’s tie. It would be a risk for Steven Gerrard to use him, but Dorrans may still be feeling the pressure if he is involved.

The midfielder has become something of a forgotten man at Ibrox. Injuries have plagued his spell and many fans have started to write him off becoming a success at various points despite his undeniable quality.
He is now fit, but battling for a place in the team where Rangers have so much quality and depth, so he perhaps cannot afford to pass up any opportunities that come his way.
And while he may find himself well down the pecking order currently, there could perhaps be no better way for Dorrans to win his doubters over and prove himself to Gerrard than to put in a masterful display in a game that many may not expect Rangers to win.
