Leeds United had signed Kyle Bartley on loan from Swansea City last season.

If Leeds United get the £12 million fee for Pontus Jansson that they are asking for, according to TeamTalk, it could enable them to bring Kyle Bartley back to Elland Road.
Bartley and Jansson’s partnership at Leeds impressed last season, and the Swansea City man has been badly missed this time around.
Leeds fans have dreamed of seeing Bartley and Jansson back together again, but that does not look like happening any time soon.

Bartley’s value has risen since his loan spell at Leeds, and Jansson’s future is in question.
But if Leeds do cash in on the Swede this summer, they could land a consolation by bringing in Bartley.
While Jansson’s reputation at Elland Road has taken a hit this term, after some shaky performances, Bartley’s has grown.
Many Leeds fans have credited Bartley for holding their defence together last term, when he was on a loan spell from Swansea.

The centre-back has not played regularly since returning to the Liberty Stadium, and could be available in the summer.
Leeds would struggle to afford Bartley at this stage, but with £12 million added to the club’s accounts from the sale of Jansson, they may just be able to bring him in.
And there is an argument to suggest that would be an upgrade on Jansson as, on this season’s evidence, Bartley was more important to Leeds’ defence than the Swede last term.
