Should Everton hope that Florin Andone struggles at Brighton & Hove Albion?

According to Sky Sports, Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed a deal to sign Florin Andone.
The Romanian striker looks set to seal a £5.25 million move to the Premier League after Deportivo La Coruna’s relegation from the Primera Division.
The 25-year-old has managed 18 goals in 69 appearances for Deportivo and could prove a smart addition by Brighton boss Chris Hughton – but Everton should be hoping that he flops.
According to The Sun, Everton asked about signing Andone after the transfer window closed last September but the Toffees instead punted for £27 million Cenk Tosun in January.

Prior to Depor’s relegation this past season, Andone would have still only cost Everton roughly £17.5 million due to a release clause [Sky Sports] but it wouldn’t reflect well on the Goodison Park club if they baulked at that figure and he lights up England’s top flight next season and beyond.
Of course, Everton fans won’t care much if Tosun, whose arrival presumably meant that Andone was no longer needed, has a goal-laden first full season in the Premier League.
But if the Turkish attacker – who has five goals in 14 appearances for the Merseyside club so far – struggles and Andone blossoms then it could be yet another transfer horror show for Director of Football Steve Walsh.
