Leeds United are reportedly interested in loaning Helder Costa, but Wolverhampton Wanderers may be reluctant to let the winger leave temporarily.

According to a report from the Express and Star, Wolves would prefer to sell at least one of Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa rather than loan both players out, in news that is bound to interest Leeds United.

The report notes that Marcelo Bielsa is keen to take £13 million man Costa to Elland Road on loan for the coming season, and it appears that Wolves are willing to leave the path clear for the Portuguese to leave Molineux this summer.

However, with £7 million signing Cavaleiro also available, the Express and Star suggests that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men hope to sell at least one of the attacking players on a permanent basis rather than sanction two loan deals.

So perhaps it may fall to one former Leeds target to potentially hand Bielsa’s men a boost in their pursuit of the man on their current shopping list.

The Sun reported in January that Cavaleiro was on Leeds’ radar as he struggled for game-time following Wolves’ promotion to the Premier League.

Of course, a move would not take place. But the Whites will be hoping that he does head elsewhere on a permanent basis this summer, as it would seemingly leave Wolves more willing to consider loaning Costa out.

Cavaleiro was not able to help Leeds’ promotion push, but perhaps he could help ensure that Bielsa gets one of his key targets during this window.
