Manchester United are ready to sell Luke Shaw – could Everton help the left-back rebuild his career?
Manchester United’s Luke Shaw runs with the ball during the UEFA Champions League Group A football match against CSKA Moscow.
Shaw has fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho, but earns £130,000-a-week on a contract that runs until the end of the season – with the option of another year – and wants to be paid to leave.

Whatever happens it looks as if the 22-year-old’s time at Old Trafford is all but over and if any club are willing to meet the Red Devils’ £20m asking price then they could sign him.
The Telegraph reported in November that Everton were interested in Shaw, with Leighton Baines currently their only natural choice on the left side of defence.
Sam Allardyce, manager of Everton, reacts during the Premier League match against Liverpool.
Cuco Martina has been playing in the position recently despite naturally being a right-back and with Baines also now 33-years-old, a long-term succession plan is needed.
Sam Allardyce is now in charge at Goodison Park and is known as a defensive coach, so Shaw could end his United nightmare – having made just three first team appearances this season – and rebuild his career under the new Toffees boss?
