Everton are said to be looking to snap up Oumar Niasse from Burnley.
According to a report in the Burnley Express, Everton are about to step up their chase for Burnley striker Andre Gray.
Everton are keen to bring in a new forward this summer, as they plan for life without Romelu Lukaku.
Everton do not want to lose the Belgian, but there is an expectation that the 24-year-old will depart from Goodison Park over the coming months.
The Toffees now want to replace Lukaku’s goals, and it is thought that Gray is on their wishlist.
Ronald Koeman is expected to make his move to snap up the Burnley man in the near future.
And Everton may just have a trump card to play, in any dealings for Gray.
Burnley are believed to have an interest in Oumar Niasse (Daily Mirror), who the Toffees are keen to offload this summer.
And Koeman should consider offering Niasse in any trade for Gray, as he could reduce the amount of funds he has to spend to bring the former Brentford man to Merseyside.
Burnley apparently believe that Niasse could have a future at Premier League level, despite Everton’s reservations over the Senegalese international.
Niasse scored five goals in 19 matches while on a loan move at Hull City last season.
And if Everton do want Gray, then offering Burnley the chance to sign Niasse at the same time, could mean that all parties can feel satisfied with the transfer.
