Lucas Lima was linked with a move to Everton in the summer transfer window.

Sky Sport Italia reported this week that AC Milan were confident of signing Lucas Lima in January.
The Santos midfielder will be available for free when the transfer window re-opens and it looks like Milan are getting quite a coup – unless another one of his summer suitors trys to hijack the move before it’s official.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Everton were interested in signing the 27-year-old during the summer transfer window but a move never materialised.

But you wonder could and should Everton renew an interest in January.
It must be noted that life at Goodison Park isn’t all that appealing at the moment, but manager Ronald Koeman is on his last legs on Merseyside and a certain Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with the task of replacing the Dutchman in Liverpool.

Milan is an attractive proposition, but so is Everton under a legendary figure like Ancelotti and the Italian might well cause Lucas to consider the Premier League side – if he is appointed, that is.
Nothing is certain, but you have to assume that Koeman might be gone come January and there is every chance that Everton’s superb squad will be fulfilling their potential under a new boss.
