Having been linked before, are Everton one of the Premier League clubs in talks with Nice and former Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli?

Mino Raiola, the agent of Nice striker Mario Balotelli, has confirmed that his client is in talks with Premier League clubs about a summer move.

Balotelli is out of contract at the end of this season and has also been linked with a return to his native Italy after two impressive years in Ligue 1.

Nice's Italian forward Mario Balotelli celebrates after scoring a goal during the French L1 football match Nice (OGCN) vs Lille (LOSC) on March 2, 2018 at Allianz Riviera Stadium in Nice.

“He’s worth €100m (£88m), but he’s on a free transfer and is therefore a bargain,” Raiola was quoted by the Mirror.

“I’m negotiating with many clubs in England and in Italy. I’ve spoken with Juventus, Roma, Napoli and Inter.”

Who wants Mario?

As a former Manchester City and Liverpool player, Balotelli is no stranger to football in England, although while he experienced some success with the former lifting the title in 2011/12, the forward was a flop at Anfield.

Despite that, Italian publication CalcioMercato reported in December that Everton were considering a move for the in-form 27-year-old.

Balotelli certainly has done well since making the move to France in the summer of 2016 on a free transfer from the Reds, scoring 39 goals in 59 appearances for Nice to date.

As the Sun reports, the Toffees are in the market for a new number nine as well having shown interest in Bournemouth star Callum Wilson, so perhaps a move wouldn’t be that surprising.
