The Tottenham Hotspur winger is back in training and could feature before the end of the month.

According to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful that Erik Lamela could be back to full fitness by mid-November, and that could be a timely boost for his Spurs teammate Christian Eriksen.
For much of this season, the Danish international has been Tottenham’s main creative force behind Harry Kane, and Spurs fans have been calling for an additional attacking midfielder since the end of last season.

While Tottenham were relatively busy in the final throes of the summer transfer window, they did not buy another attack-minded midfielder, meaning Lamela’s return cannot come soon enough.
While he has a long way to go to win over the remaining doubters in North London and win back the hearts of those who have always believed in him, the return of the Argentine could be vital as Tottenham attempt to navigate the hectic Christmas and New Year period and kick on in 2018.

Eriksen and Heung-min Son cannot be expected to play every single minute of games when they are only two or three days apart over the festive schedule, and if Lamela has some minutes under his belt by then he could offer the alternative that keeps everyone at Tottenham just that little bit fresher.
He may take a while to get back to his best after a year on the side-lines, but a fit and firing Lamela should not be understated and Eriksen, who has started all of Tottenham’s league games so far this season, could put his feet up knowing there is another creative catalyst to call on, albeit in a slightly different position.
