Heung-min Son has reportedly reached an agreement with Tottenahm to play in the Asian Games in August.
The 25-year-old has just finished up at the World Cup and couldn’t help his country get out of their group, but did manage to score a couple of goals and sink reigning world champions Germany in the final group game.

The former Bayer Levekusen man, who signed for Spurs in 2015, told reporters after their final World Cup game that he has cleared the decision with Spurs, who understand it’d be in their best interests.
It would appear Son is doing all he can to try and bring honour upon the nation of South Korea in a bid to gain exemption from military service. South Korean law states that all able-bodied males must complete 21 months of service before the age of 27. Winning the Asian games would be enough for him to be granted exemption.
With Son potentially missing out for Spurs, there could be a chance in the opening games for Erik Lamela to shine, with Mauricio Pochettino having shown a lack of faith in Lucas Moura so far.
The Argentine was often deployed centrally last season following his comeback from injury, but he is no stranger to playing wide left and could be given an opportunity by Pochettino is Son’s absence.
Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen are likely to cover the central and right positions, so it could be that the naturally left-footed Lamela comes in to replace Son.
