The Tottenham Hotspur player has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

Eric Dier is no stranger to playing his football abroad after coming through the ranks at Sporting Lisbon prior to his move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Since returning to England Dier has quickly become vital for both club and country, last season proving to be a formidable force in Tottenham’s midfield having previously impressed as a versatile defender.

Those performances will not have gone unnoticed and now the Sunday People has claimed that Bayern Munich are interested in bringing the 22-year-old to the Bundesliga.
Indeed the German giants are said to have started a dossier on the player ahead of a potential bid, and if he did ultimately move to the Allianz Arena the obvious comparison would be with former England international Owen Hargreaves.
Both men impressed in the centre of the park for England, with Dier earning recognition far earlier than Hargreaves – who was a somewhat underestimated talent in no small part due to his day job being in another country.

England fans were often bemused by Hargreaves’ inclusion only for the Canadian-born star to ultimately prove them wrong before an injury-hit spell at Manchester United marked the beginning of a premature end to his career.
Hargreaves made 145 appearances for Bayern, becoming a crucial player for them, and Dier has the innate talent and the work ethic to do the same at the highest level.
Of course Tottenham and their fans will have no desire to see Dier move on, and with a contract until the summer of 2020 there is no immediate threat. But if Bayern do see the 22-year-old as another Hargreaves in the making, expect a bid to follow all those alleged scouting reports in due course.
