Gary Neville has suggested on Super Sunday on Sky Sports that Tottenham could be enticed by selling Harry Kane if Manchester United also offer them some players.
The former right-back mentioned Anthony Martial, Dan James and Jesse Lingard as potential players that could head the other way whilst Tottenham’s talisman joins the Manchester club. Added with money on top.
Sky Sports have reported that Kane wants to leave Spurs this summer as the Englishman searches for trophies.
But it’s going to take something gigantic to lure his talents their way, including seeing past a stubborn Daniel Levy.
And Neville thinks offering players to Spurs, including their £36 million quick-footed Frenchman (BBC Sport), could be a route they could go down.
“I just mentioned before about Man United,” said Neville. “They have got Martial, they have got Lingard and they have got James.
“Would they be players, to be fair along with a lump of money, could entice Tottenham to do something.
“And I am sure Man City have got players here that they could throw into the mix.
“It’s okay having the money but you do need to get some players in to make sure that money isn’t spent on players who are less valuable to you. It’s maybe what makeshift players can go in the deal from Man City or Man United?”

Even if Spurs were offered such a deal, they need to make it clear that their star man is not for sale.
This is the biggest summer in Levy’s 20-year tenure and his chance to showcase that he means real business to those frustrated Tottenham supporters.
Spurs have slipped up and let go at crucial periods, so they will be hoping it’s not too late to rescue their current situation.
