West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic’s decision not to bring Renato Sanches in on loan this summer will be baffling Hammers supporters for some time to come, but could that decision give Domingos Quina more chances to prove his worth in the coming months?

Quina may be young but his talent is undeniable and he is rated highly enough to have been a regular on West Ham’s substitutes’ bench last season.

Only Bilic can decide if that happens, but the youngster should at least be pleased that his countryman did not join him at the club and ensure his chances were even fewer and further between than they are now.
