The Belgian has reportedly had a fallen out with West From boss Tony Pulis, so would Tottenham fans consider bringing their former player back to North London?

The Telegraph has reported that West Bromwich Albion winger Nacer Chadli has been left at home from the club’s pre-season trip to Austria, allegedly falling out with manager Tony Pulis over his infamously punishing training camps.

Though the report goes on to say that Chadli is settled at the club and not looking to leave as a result of the incident, it didn’t stop football fans on Twitter discussing the player – including those of Chadli’s former club Tottenham Hotspur.

The 27-year-old scored 25 goals in 119 matches for Tottenham after joining from Twente in 2013, but left for the Hawthorns last summer in whatthe Guardian reported to be a club record £13 million deal.

And despite an impressive couple of months under Pulis, where Chadli scored two and assisted two on his home debut against West Ham, and went on to net against Spurs as they drew away to the Baggies, he failed to build on that initial promise, scoring only once more in the league after October.

Chadli had divided Tottenham supporters at times during his three-year stay at White Hart Lane, though his middle campaign saw the Belgian become a vital figure as Mauricio Pochettino took over the reins at Spurs.

And it appears that the Lilywhites fanbase are still torn about the attacking midfielder, with some speculating he would have something to offer the current squad – with Spurs constantly linked to reinforcements in Chadli’s position over the last couple of months – and others stating that they should aim for better players now they are an established Premier League contender.

Though Pochettino moving for his former player would be more than unexpected, it didn’t stop Tottenham fans debating the pros and cons of a Nacer return.
