The on-loan Liverpool striker could make his Baggies debut at Manchester City on Wednesday.

From manager Alan Pardew to the club’s supporters, everybody at West Bromwich Albion is rightly excited about the recent signing of Liverpol striker Daniel Sturridge.
The England international has moved to The Hawthorns on loan until the end of the season in what is a massive January window coup for the rock-bottom Baggies.
Sturridge averaged a goal every other Premier League game for the Reds – 48 goals from only 67 starts – and is one of the country’s most lethal finishers when injury free.

However, Albion have a forward who is bang in form in Jay Rodriguez and Sturridge’s arrival has the potential to derail the 28-year-old’s best scoring run in three years.
Rodriguez has bagged five goals in his last six matches in all competitions, in the centre forward role that he will likely have to vacate for West Brom’s new marquee signing.
Pardew will probably retain Rodriguez in his starting lineup going forward, but shift the ex-Southampton player out to the left to accommodate Sturridge through the middle.

Rodriguez spent much of the first half of the season in a similar role and Albion initially failed to see the best of him following his £12m arrival – fee reported by BBC Sport.
Sturridge is in line for his Baggies debut in Wednesday’s trip to leaders Manchester City, and it will be interesting to see how Pardew tries to fit the two forwards into his team.
