Joe Hart’s future is up in the air once again but could Southampton be the club to resurrect the goalkeeper’s flagging career?

Mark Hughes, Manager of Southampton looks on priort to the Premier League match between Everton and Southampton at Goodison Park on May 5, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

Southampton boss Mark Hughes has been handed a new deal and will be keen to avoid a repeat of last season.

Southampton will need to be busy in the transfer market this summer and one position that needs attention is in goal where neither Fraser Forster or Alex McCarthy have made made the position their own.

With a year left on his Manchester City contract but no hope of resurrecting his career under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad, Hart looks set to be on the move again this summer.

And that could clear the path for Southampton after The Daily Mail reported Hart has changed his longstanding agent with a view to securing a move this summer and is now with the same agency which represents the Saints.

The Mail reports that the 31-year-old is no longer with Stellar Group and has instead signed for Pitch, whose clients include the national teams of Brazil, Portugal and England, as well as Southampton, Everton and Liverpool.

Hart is believed to be their first individual player client.

Everton have an established number one in Jordan Pickford while Liverpool are being linked with the big money signing of Allison.

So the change of agent could give Southampton boss Hughes – who had Hart as his number one during his time as City boss – the edge.
