Celtic are reportedly interested in Greg Taylor, while Jack Hendry is apparently attracting attention from their Scottish Premiership rivals.

Jack Hendry’s spell with Celtic looks set to go down as a real disappointment, with the defender failing to establish himself in the side during the latter stages of Brendan Rodgers’ tenure and not making one appearance since Neil Lennon returned for a second stint in charge.
The Daily Record reported that the Hoops paid £1.5 million for the 24-year-old, but he has made just 15 Scottish Premiership appearances in more than 18 months at Parkhead.
It appears that Hendry could well prove to be on the move before the transfer window shuts. And given one of the clubs reportedly interested in signing the defender, perhaps it would be fair to say that there is an opportunity for the youngster’s most important contribution to the Hoops to come on his way out of the door.
The Daily Record has reported that both Kilmarnock and Motherwell want the former Dundee man, but both clubs may be relying on Celtic to pay the majority of his wages to get a deal across the line.

That would not be ideal for the Bhoys, but perhaps the Scottish Premiership champions could use Killie’s interest to their advantage as they reportedly chase a signing of their own before the deadline passes.
Another report from the Daily Record suggested that Celtic are interested in Greg Taylor and scouted the left-back at the weekend. The report notes that Angelo Alessio has no intention of letting the defender leave Rugby Park this summer.

It may therefore, be worth Celtic attempting to make a bid for Taylor that involves Hendry moving in the opposite direction. While Killie will remain reluctant to lose their full-back, the prospect of getting Hendry in return may perhaps tempt the club to at least get around the negotiating table.
So while Hendry is unlikely to be remembered particularly fondly by the Celtic supporters, perhaps there is an outside chance that his popularity could receive a small boost on his way out if the Hoops attempt to use him to improve their hopes of landing Taylor.
