Could Carlos Tevez be a surprise inclusion for Manchester City next weekend?

City face Bolton Wanderers in 10 days time, can the forward prove his fitness?

Roberto Mancini said last night that Carlos Tevez was 2-3 weeks away from first team action.

But City have among the best physios and back room staff that money can afford, and a newly motivated Tevez could surely have a chance of making the squad.

The match-day squad is the first step, then he has to make the substitutes bench, and then he has to get onto the pitch.

But City will not want the forward sitting around kicking his heels for too long.

While he is their newly acquired ‘not-so-secret weapon’ in the title race, there may not be too many better opportunities than a home banker against Bolton.

The Blackburn game, while equally as tempting for Roberto Mancini, may come just too soon, so the match with Owen Coyle’s men looks like it will be a better fit for Tevez’ fitness.

That will take place on March 3 at 3pm, and could be the ideal opportunity to bring him off the bench for a run-out in the final 20 minutes or so.

After that City face tough games, away to Swansea City, and at home to Chelsea.

Tevez has a very good record against Chelsea, but Mancini will want to give him some action before then

Then the club travel to Stoke, host Sunderland, and travel to Arsenal.

None of these games seem as simple on paper as the Bolton game, and this is why I feel that will be the match we see Tevez pull on a City shirt for the first time since September.

When do you think Tevez will make his comeback?
