Celtic and Bayern Munich go head-to-head this week.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has some tough decisions to make ahead of his side’s Champions League clash against Bayern Munich this evening, but it could be a player likely to be named on the bench that has had a big impact come the final whistle.
Callum McGregor may be unlikely to kick off this clash, having featured for only 25 minutes thus far in Europe, but if the match is as tight as some are expecting, it could be determined by the changes made by both managers on the night.

The 24-year-old has scored six goals and provided three assists 18 games this season and he will no doubt be ready if he is called upon in the second half, knowing that a single goal could make all the difference not just on the night but for Celtic’s hopes of progressing in the competition.
His versatility on the field and his ability to score and create marks him out as the ideal super sub – a player Bayern may be less aware of but one who could make them pay if he gets the opportunity.

Only time will tell how this match plays out and who – if anyone – is destined to be Celtic’s latest European hero. However there is no doubting McGregor’s ability and he really should get more time to prove himself in Europe.
The decision rests with Rodgers, and it could be one that ultimately defines his legacy.
