Recent performances have suggested that in the latter pair West Brom now have real quality in their ranks, and that can only be a good thing for a side looking very much on the up.
While considerably younger than his fellow new additions, Burke has everything in his locker to join them at that high level, and Pulis will be hoping the youngster shows that in the months ahead.
Burke proved his worth at Nottingham Forest but struggled to make a significant impact after moving to RB Leipzig in 2016.
Despite that temporary setback, the Scotland international oozes class and now West Brom look set to benefit for the rest of the campaign.
Burke showed just 20 minutes into his second substitute appearance what he can do, setting up James Morrison for a consolation strike against Brighton and Hove Albion, and it should not be long before he makes his first start for the Baggies.
He will not be rushed back, but over the next few months expect West Brom to benefit from a resurgent Burke who will no doubt be ready to prove a point and become as important as Krychowiak and Gibbs quickly have.
