Having impressed for Bristol City once again this season should Everton and Newcastle take a serious look at Joe Bryan to address their left-back issues?
Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez gives instructions during the Premier League match against Arsenal.
Left-back has been an issue for both Everton and Newcastle United so far this season and could be a position that both clubs look to target for recruitment in the January transfer window.
An injury to veteran Leighton Baines has seen usual right-back Cuco Martina filling in there since Sam Allardyce took over as manager of the Toffees, while Paul Dummett, Chancel Mbemba and Javier Manquillo have all operated there for Newcastle at times in 2017/18.

Several names have been linked with both, but one that has not had much of a mention but could be a shrewd acquisition having greatly impressed in the Championship this term is Bristol City’s Joe Bryan.
A graduate from the Robins’ academy the 24-year-old has been an established member of their first team since 2013 and to date has played 204 times for his boyhood club.

Bryan’s performances have helped City to their current position of third in the second tier of English football; something that has come as quite a surprise with the South West side having battled against relegation for the past two years.
Not only solid defensively, the full-back also offers plenty going forwards and has scored three goals and provided two assists in all competitions this campaign and could well be ready to make the step up to the Premier League.
