Wolves are reportedly unsure about whether to let Derby County target Ben Marshall leave – but Michal Zyro is struggling in the Championship too.

Ben Marshall has plummeted down the pecking order at Wolves since Nuno Espirito Santo replaced Paul Lambert at the helm in the summer. With just one Championship start to his name all season, it seemed inevitable that the versatile wideman would be on his way in January.
According to The Sun (26th November, page 69), Derby County were keeping a close eye on Marshall in the hope that they could land him on loan from the Championship leaders for the second half of the season.
Yet, while the Express and Star claims that Wolves will be open to offers for the winger, the report adds that Nuno is aware that injuries or suspensions could force Marshall back into contention – his ability to play in a wide variety of roles possibly coming in handy during a hectic fixture schedule.

But Derby should not be too disappointed as there is another highly talented winger in Wolves squad who could also be allowed to leave the Black Country in January.
The Express and Star adds that Polish international speedster Michal Zyro is surplus to requirements and is likely to be let go on loan in the New Year.

The winger has barely featured since signing for Wolves from Legia Warsaw in 2016 and has only recently recovered from 15 months on the sidelines. And despite the odd appearance in the EFL Cup, and a number of impressive displays for the Under-23s, it appears that he is still far away from forcing himself into the first-team squad.
But Zyro is a hugely talented prospect blessed with natural pace and real skill. He may not have the same Championship experience as Marshall but he would be a fine alternative for Derby if Nuno decides to keep hold of the latter.
